I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok
Interview
It was a fairly lengthy process spanning a total of 5 rounds - first round was with HR as a screening process, followed by a second round with the hiring manager. Round three was with the existing team (peer/direct reports), round four was with the regional head and the final round was with HRBP to determine a cultural fit. The entire process was really quite smooth and moved along quite quickly with timely updates from the HR recruiter along the way.

1) What do you do in your current role and how will this apply to the role you are applying for 2) Situational based questions that required knowledge of TikTok solutions and how to apply these 3) Situational based questions about the wider digital media landscape 4) GTM growth tactics 5) People management tactics etc.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at TikTok in Apr 2026
Interview
The process spanned almost 3 months - the recruiting team is terrible at scheduling things fast enough. They try to get a million people in these interviews, which makes it super difficult to get something in the books fast enough. My interview was rescheduled like 3-4x. The case study also doesn’t make sense - it is unnecessarily too long.

How would you allocate budget to x if y happens etc
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at TikTok (Stockholm, Stockholm) in Feb 2026
Interview
Recruiter screen → Hiring manager → Case + deck creation → Panel interview → Offer stage
The interview rounds were structured and professional. The case assignment was clear, and the panel interview went smoothly, although a scheduled grandparent interviewer did not attend and there was no separate grandparent interview afterward.
The experience changed at the offer stage. The level proposed did not match the scope discussed throughout the interviews, and the compensation presented was significantly below market for the responsibilities outlined. Requests for clarity on leveling criteria, compensation philosophy, and internal benchmarks were met with vague answers, making it difficult to understand how the offer was determined.
The team seemed alright, but the lack of transparency and the large gap between role expectations and the final offer raised concerns about internal alignment. I ultimately declined.
