      Software Engineer Interview

      25 Jul 2019
      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Trim (San Francisco, CA) in May 2019

      Interview

The whole process took about 2.5 weeks from initial call to offer. Trim reached out to me via A-List and I had an initial interview with the Head of Recruiting who gave me background about the job, company, culture, and how I could fit on the team. After that I had a tech screen with the CTO that consisted of a some general programming questions and a small exercise. After the tech screen went well I was invited onsite and received an offer shortly there after.

      Software Engineer Interview

      20 Oct 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Trim (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2019

      Interview

Recruiter reached out to me through phone and she deemed my skillset and experiences aligned with the company and set me up for the technical phone screens. She is very friendly, communicative, and transparent. One phone call was an algorithmic question and second phone call was using react to display results from a popular API. I was invited onsite and had 3 separate technical interviews with their engineers. I was impressed by the interview process. It was very organized and the people were very friendly.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Trim (San Francisco, CA) in May 2018

      Interview

Connected through Hired, had an overall poor interview experience. First round, the person never called, had to rescheduled and called late. The 2nd round, the CTO called late and was unprepared. Massive waste of time.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Who still asks Sorting questions in this day and age? And what kind of CTO comes unprepared and late to the interview?
