The recruiting process was one of the most disorganized I’ve experienced.
After an initial recruiter screen in which I was told I would be moved forward to a manager round the next week, I was rejected. The same role was later reposted, and after I reached back out, I was invited back into the interview process. Following a positive hiring manager conversation, I was told I would move on to an onsite, which I completed with the engineering team.
From that point onward, communication broke down completely. There were multiple recruiter handoffs, follow-up emails went unanswered, and I received outdated out-of-office auto-replies. It took nearly two weeks after the onsite to receive any update, despite reaching out professionally for a status update. The final communication was a phone call stating that they had moved forward with another candidate who had more experience.
The engineering team was professional and enjoyable to speak with, but the recruiting experience was frustrating and poorly coordinated. Candidates invest significant time preparing for interviews, completing onsite assessments, and following up respectfully. The least they deserve is timely communication and clear ownership of the recruiting process. Hopefully, the company improves its candidate communication, as it did not reflect well on the overall hiring experience. If anyone from Trulioo is actually reading this then you guys need to really streamline things, I have interviewed with several companies and this was the most unpleasant ones.
