I applied online and received a response back from HR within hours. I didn't necessarily qualify for this position (in my opinion) but I thought I had a chance and it could be fun. For that reason, I'm not so sure they actually read my resume; I think they simply saw my accounting title and reached out. While the position wasn't what I was looking for, I was intrigued and have always ranked Trupanion high on my wish list of companies to work for. So I was happy to learn more! Several days after the phone screen, I received a canned response rejection, as I have many times before, and that was it. That's incredibly irritating; to make a connection with a recruiter and for them to not follow up personally. I realize a lot of companies do it but it's impersonal.
