I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at UPS (Elm Grove, WI) in Nov 2013
Interview
You first meet at one of the facilities for an information session. You must park your car and then walk in the " marked walked way"to the security building where you'll show them I'd and tell them you are here for he driver helper info session. There usually wi be a large group of up to ten people at this session. Everyone will wait outside until someone comes out to lead you all in the building to a room where everyone sits and is informed of the job details.
If you're still interested in the job there is usually time to do an interview right after the info session. I'd recommend jumping up and volunteering yourself first for an interview. The wait can become pretty long depending on how many people are at the info session and how many people want to interview. Everyone at my session wanted an interview and I didn't jump up with the first group and had to wait, in a room full of people staring at the walls for quite some time. Dress casual, no tennis shoes, no holes in pants. Didn't ask fora copy of my resume or any thing like that. The interview consisted of her going over exactly what I filled out on the online application and took about five minutes.
Smooth and very easy to pass. Just speak and they will tell you what they have for you. You have nothing to be worried about. Just be ready to answer the phone.
Easy and quick, no problems at all I went straight through to the orrientation and that only took a few hours so thats pretty good you know I enjoyed the process
Phone with a supervisor. Super convenient and super easy. Affable man with tons of experience. Couldn't be happier. Later went in for an in person interview and to pick up gear.
