I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UPS (Landover, MD) in Apr 2011
Interview
Well i applied online a while ago and kept checking back to see if any tour dates were open. Finally one was and it was at 6:00 am. Me and the other people stood out there for a good 30 mins before someone came out there to get us but i do advise you to come on time because thats what their looking for.
We went into a room where a supervisor told us about job qualifications and such. Then we walked through the place as she gave us more details of the job. Pay attention to what they say because they might stop and give the group a quick quiz on what they have said like the lady did to us. After the walk through she said she'd call if she were interested in any of us.
About 2 weeks later i got a call to set up a second interview. If you get this call chances are you got the job. I went in at 8:00am and interviewed with this guy and he just asked what you wanted from UPS. He was really laid back and did most of the talking to explain how hard the work was going to be. Also DONT FORGET TO BRING I.D. AND YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD OR BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Its used for the background check. I got interviewed with another guy same day and he also did most of the talking. They just want to make sure you can get there on time. I filled out some info on the computers they have there and that was it.
3 days later the same guy called and said i got the job. That's pretty much it. Good luck, y'all.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at UPS (Paris)
Interview
Mon entretien d’embauche a été très tranquille et simple. Je me suis senti à l’aise et pas stressé. Les questions étaient normales et la conversation était naturelle, presque comme parler avec des amis. L’ambiance était détendue et tout s’est bien passé.
They ask about your schedule flexibility and your ability to maintain an efficient working pace. Then, a manager briefs you on the possible tasks you would be asked to do.
There is no interview. you’ll get a job offer right after you apply then you’ll go straight to orientation on the date they give you and fill out a lot of paperwork. So basically just show up on the date and you got the job already.
