I applied in-person. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at US Navy (New York, NY) in Jan 2018
Interview
I was with a panel of other officers as they asked me plenty of questions then I awaited a verdict. I have been in the navy for many years and this has been one of the most rewarding positions I have held.
Interview was pretty easy and straightforward, but there will be follow ups for paperwork. Show up motivated and ready to discuss your past, present, and future and why you are interested in joining and they will take care of the rest.
I applied for an asisstant position.
I had no idea with the interview but I tried my best and the interviewer was quiet kind. So I think it will be a good fit for me.
Ask weight, height and requirements for the recruitment process. I was surprised I was not asked of I could swim, but it was a preliminary interview since I have to meet the requirements first and take the ASVAB.
