I went to a recruiter, told him i wanted to be a nuclear operator and i received a criminal background check and was also tested to see if i used drugs. Both of which i passed and then signed a commitment to enlist in the Navy.

Be prepared to answer lots of questions. Answer truthfully they will figure stuff out. MEPS is a long day but if you dont have the patience for that you dont have the patience for Boot Camp

Interview
There was an entry level exam (the ASFAB). If you scored well enough on the test then you automatically screen for nuclear duty. If you do not score well enough on the ASFAB then you have the ability to take another test which is comparable to an entry level physics examination.
