I shared my resume and was invited to schedule a call. We talked about my goals and she asked me some details about my resume - more like clarification as to what things meant. I had another video call with the head of HR where we had a deep conversation about where I worked before, what I'm looking for in my career, drivers, some traditional strength and weakness type stuff as well as referrals. I spent an additional 10 minutes just asking every question I could think of. Took a cool personality profile thing and then met with the sales manager and we talked about the results of the profile survey and more about the kind of work place where I want to be and my expecations. After all of that I went into headquarters, took a tour to meet everyone, chatted a little longer with some department heads, walked through the details of the comp plan and scheduled a ride along with one of the existing sales reps. It feels like a lot writing it out but it really didn't seem that way in the moment - it all happened over the course of one week and in the end I had no doubts about what the role looked like and I feel like they really knew me.
