      Interview

A few days after applying, I got contacted by the Lead Technical Recruiter who walked me through the whole recruitment process. After that, I had a couple of interviews to have an overview of the job and do a preliminary skill assessment. After that, I had 3 extra interviews. 2 of them were deep dive technical interviews where I had to review some code and profile a game. The third was more of an informal discussion. Finally, I had to provide some references (2 team members and 2 Leads). Throughout the whole process, I kept in touch with the Lead Technical Recruiter.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Unity in Dec 2020

      Interview

Process was long but not really hard. I applied during covid so everything was done remotely. First, I had a quick RH call (30 min) then an hour interview with the team lead to talk about the job and my previous ones. Some background questions but no deep technical ones. Next one was a more technical one about my previous tasks and technical background with some workflow and real-life scenario questions. Then there was a coding test of about an hour with two members of the team, the test was not hard, it's mostly testing good practices and algorithm. Finally, I had a full day of interview with 4 in the same day. Two technical ones : one was a coding review and the second one a small real-life project to profile and optimise. The other two were conversation with some member of the team about work at unity and inside the team. The complete process was really smooth, everyone was nice and very friendly at all steps. I just missed some information about the total number of interview I had to do so it looked like the process was never ending. But overall it was a good experience.
