Waste. Of. Time. First interview was a 30 min phone screening. It went fairly well, recruiter was kind enough, but the discussion left me feeling… icky, to say the least? I was provided a potential start date and base salary, but she also made a point to emphasize the drinking culture at Venturi and the long work hours expected from employees (8am-7/8pm?). I understand to succeed in sales/recruitment, you need that competitive nature, but it seemed they were looking someone willing to step all over people for any shot at financial success. Nonetheless, I was willing to give the second round interview a shot. Recruiter had me write up multiple paragraphs on why I would be successful with Venturi prior to the next interview, and then… I can’t get through to her. My phone rings, but answering the call brought me to a silent line. Attempting to call back directed me to the NYC office who had no idea who I was or why I was calling (since the recruiter was UK based) and seemed indifferent, considering they never informed her I was attempting to get in touch. Eventually I get ahold of her 20 minutes later— apparently she tried to call once and then became occupied with something else— and we had to reschedule. We reschedule for next day, and when I pick up she says we have to reschedule *again* because the NYC office hasn’t coordinated in person meeting times with her yet, since apparently this second call was to schedule the fore-mentioned in person meeting. We reschedule yet again. I should’ve stopped here, but I digress. The third rescheduled call arrives, and she once again says we have to reschedule due to an unrelated issue. Attempting to reach back out after the fact proved to be futile, and she ignored my attempts at confirming a new date/time. Wasted my time across the span of about 2 weeks. Avoid Venturi like the plague. This company and its sister companies are truly predatory and lack self awareness. I genuinely cannot imagine all of these positive reviews are authentic.
