I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vericast (Livonia, MI) in Nov 2014
Interview
Initial interview was with 2 directors. Then follow up was with my direct supervisor. Process was pleasant and they were back with me with next steps and a decisions very quickly. They do require a complete background check and a drug test- neither of which was an issue with me. The interviewers were all very nice, no trick questions just want to be sure its the right fit for everyone.

Question 1
Why are you considering leaving your current employer and seeking a role at Valassis?
The interview process was a half-hour phone call that went well. I was then sent a follow-up email to fill out new hire paper work. After finishing that I was told the job was actually full and they'd consider me in the future. About a week later I received another email from them saying I could start in a few weeks and they asked what hours I'd like to be scheduled. I replied with my schedule preference within 2 hours of the email and received a reply saying the 'slots filled up within a half hour of sending that email'. So, overall, this is not a company that hires you. They screen you and then reach out to toss crumbs as you wait in the digital version of a job line from a dystopian future movie. If this company 'hires' you, don't tell your family you got a job or stop your current job search. They didn't actually hire you. You won't have a job until the laptop they send you is in your hands. Additionally, even if they say in their job ads that you get benefits, you don't. Once they 'hire' you they explain you're actually a contract worker and you won't be allowed to take any days off for the entirety of your 6-month contract and there's no benefits for contract employees.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vericast in May 2021
Interview
Interview process was easy, started with an intro call with a recruiter then two interviews with managers, the last one with a project attached. It took a little while to hear back about an offer due to some complications with getting hiring approvals, but the whole process was overall good.

I met with three people and they were all very nice. Seems like a stressful job though. They just got bought which could make the job more difficult . It seemed as there were some tension with the company that bought them and the benefits have changed a lot
