The recruiter was very nice up until the last moment. I passed her interview and moved onto the manager screening call. That interview went very well and he explicitly told me I’d be moving on to the next in person interview. The recruiter reached out and told me to do a paper form application and to email a photo of the application along with the personality test that they use prior to scheduling the in person. Again, she said I’d be moving on to the next interview.
While taking my personality test my computer began an unscheduled update. It was a simple test but I wasn’t able to complete it. When I logged back in the test showed completed. The next day I received a generic email saying I wasn’t a good fit. I sent an email asking her why I wasn’t a good fit any longer and she didn’t reply. I’m very disappointed in the recruiter and the process after not given an adequate chance to complete the test.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What sales methodologies do you use to close deals?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Verkada (London, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
Very efficient and rapid interview process.
Step 1 - Screening call with HR
Step 2 - Call with Sales Manager
Step 3 - Call with Sales Operations to run through previous performance metrics
Step 4 (final) - In person interview at their office. Consists of a culture fit meeting and a mock discovery call with a prospect
Although I didn't get the offer, Jasmin from the HR team was very efficient and helpful throughout the whole process. She gave a very strong first impression of Verkada from the go.
The initial recruiter did a great job at selling the interview process and awesomeness of the people I would be speaking with. ...They all seemed to be busy with their minds up prior to the meeting. I understand it is a competitive position but it felt like an audition where the director already made up his mind
basic interview questions - had to drive down to do an interview with multiple people, it essentially took a day, just to not get the job. Felt like we could have done it remote.
