Recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. We had a phone screen the next day. Not sure if it's just tactic, but I thought we had a great conversation and he said along the lines of "I really love your background and I'm going to get you in front of the hiring team, you should hear from me today or tomorrow, Monday the latest." 2 weeks passed and I heard nothing, so I decided to reach out on LinkedIn to ask the status, if they decided to pursue another candidate. I'd like the truth, whatever the reason was. At minimum, just give me the generic response of moving on with someone else. The phone screen was very easy and casual, more him talking trying to 'sell' me the company and role.
