My process was a recruiter phone screen, two 30-min interviews with team members, a take home assessment, and a 1-hour presentation of the take home exercise. The interviewers felt incredibly robotic and the conversations did not feel conversational at all. I left each interview feeling pretty unsure and like I couldn't connect with any of the people. One interviewer specifically liked to question every one of my responses and I'm not sure if she was just trying to understand something better but it made me feel a little attacked.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in Mar 2023
Interview
I first got a reach out on LinkedIn from one of the team leads then we briefly chatted about the opportunity. I expressed my interest in moving on to interviews and they scheduled an interview with a director of the group. After 1 week, they gave me a modeling test to complete and scheduled half day of on-site interviews a week after, when I met with the rest of the team. Thought I did great on the model and had great conversation with all, but they ghosted me for a week, until I followed up twice. Then they finally scheduled another round of zoom with the director I had talked with, so I did it, but heard nothing again afterwards. HR kept saying the team was busy and will get back to me as soon as possible. However, they never follow up unless I ask. I finally told them that I have a competing offer and the HR immediately responded within the day and rejected me saying that team doesn't have headcount. Honestly not sure why they were wasting time and resources to interview people just to not have capacity on the team. Feels very disorganized in general.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Verkada (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2022
Interview
Went through 4 rounds of interviews. Frist round, Director of Sales; Second round, is with the recruiter; third and fourth, with potential collaborators in the org. Strong company and product, with proven product market fit. The company has a strong sales culture. Company is white, young, fratty-boyish. I got rejection after 4 rounds. Round 3 and 4 are a combination of behavioral and case (10-15min).
