I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Queensbury, NY) in Aug 2013
Interview
You have to go to the store and get an application. Filled it out, turned it in, didn't hear for about 2 weeks even with me stopping in and calling frequently. Finally I got an interview with a sales lead, not even the hiring manager. I was told I'd hear back. About 2 weeks went by, I had my second interview with another sales lead. Then 2-3 weeks later I was offered the job.
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
