I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Vivid Seats in Oct 2023
Interview
First there is a phone screen where a few general Java questions are asked.
Then, the first scheduled interview is with a manager where past experiences leading software development projects are discussed in detail. Describe project challenges and how they were resolved.
The second interview is pair programming with 2 developers using CoderPad. Assessment is based on one's suggestions and improvements to some Java code while talking through one's thought process.
Was supposed to be scheduled for final interviews, but they said they don't accept EAD (Employment Authorization Document) and appeared to be discriminatory against immigration status.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to resolve conflicts with other developers on your team.
I had a recruiter call with them about my background and next steps. Unfortunately, after that initial call, communication stopped entirely. While I understand that hiring priorities change and not every conversation leads to a next round, being ghosted after a scheduled conversation is unprofessional and disrespectful of a candidate's time. Providing simple closure takes very little effort and goes a long way for candidate experience. Even an automated rejection email is better than ghosting

Everything before the coding interview was great. In the coding interview it seemed like they had no intention of hiring me. I solved the problem successfully and then asked them if they would like me to elaborate on anything and they just said "no, let's call it". Came off as rude
