      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at WYLD in Oct 2020

      Interview

I applied to work in Sacramento and I believe I received an email within a day or 2 inviting me to have a phone screen w/ one of the employees up in OR. I did my research and prepared only to have the person assume I'm too far and would hold up the hiring process if they decided to move forward with me. I live 2 hours from the location and would have easily been able to get an airbnb and start working...and pack my things up over the weekend while searching for a place to live. I reached back out after having this phone screen cancelled on me within 5 minutes from the scheduled time. I explained that my location would not be an issue and I'd love to learn about the job still and I didn't even get a response. I wouldn't normally think anything of this because I personally wasn't that excited about the company, they also seem to lack diversity. However, I feel it's extremely rude and unprofessional to just ghost me when I expressed an interest and clarified that my location wouldn't be a problem. I also took a look at this individual's LinkedIn profile and they had shared a post about Phone Screen Courtesy during these hard times. Like, cmon there's a pandemic going on and this is how you're treating candidates? All the while reposting articles about Respect/Kindness...
