Interview
Applied through a referral for the customer backbone team. I did a phone screen with their senior data scientist (deep learning, ml questions) and then was invited for a loop. I got green light from all people in the loop as well as the director, but they were on hiring freeze due to Covid-19 (only received a verbal offer with no compensation details). They stopped responding to my follow-up emails after a while and kind of ghosted me.

Question 1
Basic ml questions (e.g., regularization, LDA, feature selection, etc.), some medium leetcode, and open-ended ml questions.
First is a hackerrank online assessment that you complete on your own time. Then is an interview where you have to be prepared for both technical and behavioral questions. The interviewer was super nice and I could tell they wanted me to succeed.

Technical and behaviour round with hiring manager and team tech lead. Before this there was a written test that had SQL questions, probability problems and machine learning basics. In the technical round:
Gave a problem statement and asked to propose a solution and then optimize it. Then I asked few questions to clarify the data and proposed an initial solution using that data.
