I applied online. I interviewed at WiderNet Project
Interview
Interviewed for a part time position. Was asked questions regarding personal project experience and skill level for Java. They also introduced you about their project. It was a good experience overall.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at WiderNet Project (Chapel Hill, NC) in Aug 2013
Interview
Had two phone interviews with staff and one in-person interview with the director, all of which seemed to go quite well. I was told I could expect to hear something from them within the week, as the director was anxious to hire new staff. I followed up with the company representative three separate times, the third occurring a full month after my in-person interview with the director. Each time I was told I was still being considered for the position and was a strong candidate and that they considered my persistence a positive sign; three months later, I have accepted an offer from another organization, but still have received no official rejection or further communication from this company. I am very disappointed by such unprofessional conduct from an organization whose mission and values I and the rest of society should hold in high regard.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
None, though the director seemed more interested in showing off his organization's product than learning how I might contribute to their efforts.
