1. Initial Application
Submitted online via their careers page.
2. Recruiter Interview
A 30-minute video call with a recruiter to discuss your background, motivation, and basic fit for the company and role.
3. Hiring Manager Interview
A deeper conversation focused on technical fit, problem-solving approach, and communication skills relevant to presales.
4. Process Disruption
A final interview was scheduled but cancelled by the company. No follow-up or rescheduling occurred, and after a delay, I received a generic rejection message stating that they had already chosen another candidate.
5. Post-Interview
Despite the rejection, the role remained open and active, with other candidates being invited to early-stage interviews—suggesting the process was still ongoing.
That mismatch between what was communicated and what was happening in practice raised concerns about transparency and how decisions are made.
Advice to Management:
Be honest with candidates—especially those who’ve already invested time. A respectful process includes timely follow-up, clarity, and consistency in messaging.
