The interview process moves fairly quick. It’s starts with a phone interview then a zoom meeting with the director. After they make you do a “project” your really just giving your ideas and time for free. Then you go and meet in person that takes like 2hrs. To complete everything they ask you to write them a “thank you letter”. Which is strange. They also contact your references. Might as well spend your time applying for a top company. Not worth it. They don’t even have a great social presence to begin with that should be the “red flag”.
I applied online. I interviewed at YMI Jeanswear (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2020
Interview
Very easy interview process that consisted of both a phone and in-person interview. Seemed like all the interview questions were just pulled from a generic list online. There was a "test" portion of the interview as well. From what I gathered about the position, they are looking for a talented graphic designer that will be responsible for literally everything, but are only willing to pay the salary of a junior designer. Also, it was extremely weird that they kept the name of the company hidden until partway through the beginning of the interview. My only guess is that they didn't want all the negative reviews of the company to scare off applicants. They also claim that they take covid-19 concerns very seriously, but later revealed they only require you to wear a mask while talking to other people. As someone who lives with somebody who is immunodeficient I could not work in that environment.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at YMI Jeanswear in Jan 2019
Interview
Interview was smooth, applied online and got a phone interview the following few days. The person who gave the interview over phone was really nice. Set up an interview for the next week. Everyone was nice and professional at interview.
