Applied online and recruiter reached out for an initial phone screen to explain the role and get a better sense of your interest and goals. Next round was a non-technical interview with the hiring manager to go over your experience and talk about previous projects. A final round interview was 3 rounds (2 coding and 1 low-level OOP design). The first technical interview was pretty straightforward; easy/medium leetcode type. The second technical interview was more open ended with the coding problem tying back to some real world scenario. The low-level design went over general OOP concepts and how to design a system with a few given APIs. The interviewers were nice but I found they were not very helpful during the interview. Either they were just silent and watched you code or asked very ambiguous questions where I did not know what answer they wanted and they didn't really point me in the right direction.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at fabric (Bengaluru) in Oct 2021
Interview
I was contacted by HR for this opportunity and I was very much impressed by the way interviews were being scheduled. Highly professional approach.
There were a total of 4 rounds.
In the first round, I was asked a few JavaScript-based questions. Of which, 4 were problem-solving.
In the second round, there were a few front-end design questions and one more problem-solving question.
The third round was about design systems and I was asked a few backend-related questions.
In the fourth round, I had a discussion with the Engineering Lead which consisted of a few backend and frontend questions. There was no problem solving here.
Overall, I was really happy with the way the interview went by . Everyone right from the HR who approached me until the Engineering Lead everyone seemed to be very professional. There was no pressure either during any of the rounds as all the interviewers seemed very friendly and open.
The entire process took around a couple of weeks.
