I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at phx-IT (Phoenix, AZ) in Mar 2023
Interview
The full process from what I understand is 2 interviews. First a vague intro from management and then an in-depth questionnaire from a fellow engineer. I interviewed with the head of marketing. That was a red flag for me. But I pushed through. We had a very healthy conversation, very smooth. The Interviewer seemed confident and happy, he asked very basic questions and we got to know each other. Ended on a very high note. I was advised that he would follow up in a few days to schedule interview number 2. A week went by, no word. So I reached out thanking him for his time. He replied apologizing for the mishap and asked if I was still interested in the job and he would be happy to continue the interview. So I said yes, of course. I gave him some date and time options. Then silence. Nothing more was heard. At this point I genuinely felt disappointed and not like chasing it anymore. But I did feel the need to leave a review to advise others of this as well. I'm genuinely disappointed because to be honest, at first I didn't have much interest in working there. I pushed myself to interview to see what was out there. But once I got to know that person and the company I was actually excited. It felt like a nice new position that I could really be good at. But it really seemed as if they just did not take it as serious as I did. I wish anyone else the best.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One question I can recall is, "How can you describe a time that you needed to utilize management qualities to support users and coordinate a solution?" I'm paraphrasing from memory but there were a lot of system and situational management questions.
