Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage our financial records, ensure accuracy in our accounting processes, and support the financial health of our hotel. Your expertise in various accounting software and financial concepts will help us maintain transparent and compliant financial operations, enabling us to continue providing outstanding service.

Duties

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure data integrity
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
• Prepare journal entries, conduct account analysis, and perform balance sheet reconciliation
• Assist with payroll processing and tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
• Support budgeting efforts by analyzing financial data and preparing reports
• Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of corporate, non-profit, governmental, and public accounting practices
• Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
• Experience with account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation
• Familiarity with financial concepts such as budgeting, account analysis, and financial report writing
• Ability to perform 10 key typing quickly and accurately for data entry tasks
• Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
