As an NTU Electrician, you will be part of the in-house Estates team that supports and enables the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the university estate.
The role is varied and diverse, with day-to-day duties ranging from ensuring that our estate is safe and operational, through to supporting the delivery of key University events such as open days and graduation ceremonies.

Our City campus is home to stunning Grade II listed buildings, dynamic architecture and picturesque living walls and terraces. In 2021, our renovation of a former Wesleyan Chapel (University Hall) was recognised as the ‘University Impact Initiative of the Year’ by the Association for University Directors of Estates (AUDE). We continue to invest in sector leading projects with the construction of the Design and Digital Arts building which will open in 2024.
Recent developments at our Clifton campus include a £23m Medical Technology Innovation Facility (MTIF), £15m Health and Allied Professions Centre and £1.6m Smart Wireless Innovation Facility (SWIFT).
Our Brackenhurst campus offers a veterinary nursing centre, climate-controlled greenhouses, and multiple state-of-the-art laboratories. The Lyth building was completed in 2020 at a cost of £11.5m and offers a wide range of high-quality teaching and social spaces.
Our Confetti campus offers access to professional TV, film and music studios, as well as specialist labs, computer suites, industry-standard tech and world class facilities for Esports. From 2023, Confetti will be launching a second site in Whitechapel London, complete with a multipurpose, live events venue.
Located at Vision West Nottinghamshire College, our £6.5m Mansfield Hub opened in 2020 and includes state-of-the-art training facilities for clinical practitioners, as well as a sport science laboratory, lecture theatres and flexible study spaces.
