National Gas is securing Britain’s energy. We are responsible for transporting gas to power stations, major industries, storage facilities, and more than half a million businesses and 24 million homes through nearly 5,000 miles of pipes across Britain. National Gas is also proud to lead the way in transforming the energy network for a clean energy future.
We are excited to recruit a Company Secretarial Coordinator to support the Company Secretariat team in delivering an exceptional standard of service to the Board of Directors and wider governance arrangements for the National Gas group.
The role will sit within a small team comprising the Company Secretary and the Assistant Company Secretary, however you will also be required to work closely with our Directors and Executive team. As such, our ideal candidate will already have demonstrable experience working with Board members and senior colleagues, alongside strong communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive, positive approach. An understanding of core governance concepts and experience in organising Board-level meetings and events will also be highly beneficial.
This is a hybrid working position with 2-3 days in our Warwick office required each week. Occasional travel to London and to some of our regional sites across the UK will be required. You will also need to be able to support in-person Board/Committee meeting days with an early start and later finish, with these currently taking place 4-6 times per year.
Join us, and help be the energy behind the change.
This is a varied role, with key duties focusing on supporting the team in managing the Board and its Committees, which will include overseeing the logistical delivery of Board meetings and events. This role is the main point of contact for the Chair and the Directors and is responsible for ensuring our Directors are well supported in their roles on the Board. As such, the successful candidate will require a professional and discreet approach, with understanding of the importance of our Directors’ competing priorities and time pressures. The ability to manage relationships effectively and communicate with confidence is key. The role also includes providing ad-hoc company secretarial administrative support to contribute to the delivery of high-quality governance arrangements and statutory compliance across the Company and its subsidiaries.
