Overview
We are seeking a motivated and versatile General Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting a variety of construction, landscaping, and maintenance projects, requiring hands-on skills and a proactive attitude. The successful candidate will be involved in outdoor and indoor tasks, assisting with site preparation, upkeep, and general labour duties. Experience in horticulture, gardening, or construction is advantageous, along with mechanical knowledge and familiarity with power tools and hand tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticultural activities to ensure the aesthetic and functional quality of outdoor spaces.
• Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems to support various project requirements.
• Supporting construction activities by preparing sites, moving materials, and assisting skilled tradespeople as needed.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks on equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency on site.
• Digging trenches, laying foundations, or performing other excavation-related duties under supervision.
• Ensuring work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe at all times by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assisting with the installation of irrigation systems or other specialised landscaping features.
• Supporting team members in completing projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.

Experience

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or construction is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
• Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with operating machinery such as excavators is beneficial.
• Experience using hand tools (e.g., shovels, spades) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) is desirable.
• Knowledge of horticulture or gardening practices will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately are essential for success in this role. Pay: £100.00-£110.00 per day
