I have been working at AIG full-time (More than 5 years)
Great people, diversity and global reach, innovative, doing real job on day 1 and use your brain and skills, development opportunities
can be difficult to navigate, still some silo culture, frequent change in top management created atmosphere of uncertainty though with new CEO this is now shifting quickly
Advice to Management
Link initiatives to the company rather than individuals
The process took 6+ weeks. I interviewed at AIG.
I was surprised to receive a phone call from AIG since I had applied around two months prior without hearing anything.
I was invited for a competency based interview so prepared for those types of questions.
When I arrived at the interview, I was told that as I did not have any experience in the role I had applied for, there would be no competency based questions. I never understood this explanation but didn’t question it.
I was simply asked to talk about myself and what my current role was.
Even if I had received an offer, I would have declined as I didn’t feel that the interviewer (who would have been my manager) came across well at all.
