    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Abstract (Remote, OR (US)) in September 2018.

    Interview

Really positive experience. Since the company is remote-first, the entire interview process happened through multiple sessions via Zoom. The team was timely with feedback and scheduling throughout and very flexible with my schedule.

I met with the hiring manager, 3 different peers, and the CEO. In every conversation I had, there was alignment around the vision and mission of the company (which is rare). There is such a noticeable energy with this team—not only around what the company is accomplishing with a great product, but how they are doing it (commitment to remote-first, diversity and inclusion, good people, etc.).

After rounding out my first month, I'm still pinching myself on making the decision to join the company. Abstract is truly walking the talk when it comes to company values and it makes coming to work every day so much fun.
