    I have been working at Chess ICT full-time (More than a year)


    I have never been in a company that values me for me. I have no degree and my previous career of 13 years was completely unrelatable to telecoms and technology for many companies. Not for Chess! They saw the skills that I had and how they could be applied to what they do. The charity culture is very unique, raising thousands every year. I find that inspiring. The care they out into every customer is also something of exceptional value. Having worked for a huge company in London who felt that they could lose a few to gain a lot, Chess don't see their customers and partners in that way at all. I truly love what I do and don't dread Mondays or 'live for the weekend'. That's something I never thought i'd find again. I also love that you leave your work at work so the work life balance is spot on.


    Only downside is parking at head office! Seriously, that's all I've experienced. I wouldn't even call that a con.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you are doing. Keep supporting your people and customers as you do. Don't be tempted to change to follow anyone elses path.

    I applied online. I interviewed at Chess ICT (Burnley, England).


    Interview held within 48 hours of receipt of CV. Great intro with potential manager. Standard questions nothing out of the ordinary as this is essentially to sound out capability and suitability. Had second interview with Head of Sales immediately after, more challenging with probing into personality and previous experience. The questions are direct however not rude in my view.
