I have been working at Disciple full-time
Pros
Great people, always ready to help one another, and work together towards a common goal - to make this start-up a success! Driven and relaxed at the same time, I am so happy I left my corp job and found this Company!
Cons
Like every start-up, there are still a bunch of things to figure out and there isn't always a standard process in place - but that's one of the reasons why I joined in the first place! Also, the current building has an open hallway which makes it cold to go to the kitchen and bathroom during winter, but we're moving in a few months so that's cool :)
Application
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Disciple (London, England) in April 2017.
Interview
The first interview I had was with the CFO who was really engaging and receptive to my ideas and answers to any questions, which put me at ease. I liked everything I heard about the company and really wanted the job from this initial meeting. I was asked back for a second interview where I met the CEO and Head of HR - meeting them really cemented my perception of the company and their vision, it was definitely something I wanted to be part of. As soon as the interview finished I emailed the CFO stating why I wanted the job so much and why I thought my skillset would a good fit. I think this worked in my favour as I ultimately got the job and I haven't looked back since.
