    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at First Response Finance (Nottingham, England) in January 2019.

    Interview

First stage is open evening, quick test to figure out what your core values are then you get to chat to the current staff members, a lot who are very young (18).
If you get through to the next stage this is when it gets a but intense. A lot of 18, early 20 years olds got through with me which I found a bit surprising but I guess they look for young, unexperienced kids so they can mold them.
Test of most like you, least like you multiple choice, then spelling/grammer test - easy (know your their/there/they're/your/you're) Numerical I found quite hard. Then you get to do a bunch of activities such as get up & talk for a minute card game, back to back (shows your listening & communitcation skills with another), list from 1-12 of important stuff to take on journey to reach island (shows team work), checking docs to assess if person can have loan out, feed this back to a panel of three people who are judging you throughout the day. The people judging are very stern and it's very hard to know if they like you or they really hate you.
If you make it through all that you have the panel interview you. Very intense and draining day. Feels like you have done a full days work for nothing if you are unsuccesful. Good experience I guess but do not want to go through all that again. Doesn't take that much to get into the RAF!

    Interview Questions

    • Why do you want to work here? Not difficult to answer but feels like you just have to suck up and say what they want to hear.   Answer Question

We look at ways businesses can gather information about employee thoughts and use it to improve. Can feedback be negative or is it always a platform for learning?
