Mission: Provide Great Credit Solutions for Non-Prime Customers
I have been working at First Response Finance full-time (More than a year)
Really people focussed and interested in people development. Also, the pay is very competitive.
Sometimes difficult to see opportunities to progress but they do come up at times
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at First Response Finance (Nottingham, England) in December 2014.
The first stage was an "open day" which is a bit like speed dating - you walk in and people who work there are stood around and you basically pick somebody to talk to before moving onto the next. It's very informal and more of a chat about your experience, how you feel about certain ways the business works (no targets for example) and what's important to you from a job perspective.
If you're successful here you're then asked to an "assessment day". There were 8 people on mine recruiting for 2 roles in marketing. You go through a few tasks such as checking your marketing knowledge, pitching ideas, presentation skills etc. Throughout the day people are told they are unsuccessful and you never see them again (it's a bit nerve-wrecking!)
At the end of the day you're then asked to an interview, where it's more of a formal discussion about what you're after, how you would work and it's a final analysis to see if you're right for the company, not just the role.
What's all this about 'wanting feedback'?
Check out our latest blog where our very own Chris Twigg delved into why we're all so bothered about feedback
