Good Source Solutions makes organizations' food budgets (even tight ones) easy to digest. The company distributes surplus food products to more than 5,000 customers, including correctional institutions, schools, relief and faith-based organizations, and nonprofit food groups. Its secondary food products, including meats, vegetables, and fruits, come from more than 500 food processors. Good Source also provides menu planning, portion control, and delivery services from its five warehouses across the US. In addition to foodservice distribution, the company offers purchasing and logistics services to food producers. In 2011 private equity firm Evergreen Pacific Partners acquired a majority stake in Good Source.
