BLUE MONDAY Blue Monday 2026 falls on January 19, which is often referred to as the most depressing day of the year, but it doesn't have to be. Significance of Blue Monday: Blue Monday is observed on the third Monday of January. The concept was popularised in 2005 by a formula to calculate the most depressing day of the year based on various factors including weather conditions, debt levels, time since Christmas and failed New Years resolutions.
