Description Founded in 1914, R.J. O'Brien (RJO) is one of the oldest independent futures brokerage firms in the US and a founding member of the CME's Chicago Mercantile Exchange. RJO provides electronic execution and clearing services for more than 80,000 clients on futures exchanges worldwide. Serving a network of some 300 introducing brokers, as well as corporations and individual traders, the company deals in commodities such as grains, currencies, metals, energy, livestock, and energy. It oversees some $2 billion in client assets. The O'Brien family owns a majority of RJO.
