APRIL, part of the RGE group of companies, has been selected among the winners at the prestigious 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐩𝐞𝐱 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬, presented by the UN Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS). The awards recognise companies whose business operations exemplify the principles of the UNGC on environment, human rights, labour, and anti-corruption. APRIL was chosen as a winner in the 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 category, acknowledging its progress in implementing its long-term APRIL2030 goals and driving the sustainable transformation of the company's business operations. Part of RGE group, Apical’s Sustainable Living Village on cacao farming fosters partnerships, empowers communities, and contributes to a more sustainable future. In collaboration with Earthworm Foundation and the East Kutai District Government, the programme aims to improve livelihoods and promote sustainability by connecting smallholders with chocolate cooperatives from Karangan and Bali. Part of the RGE group, APRIL has been accepted to join North Carolina State University’s Plant Sciences Innovation Hub. The Hub enables our 270-person R&D team to work alongside researchers and industry leaders to develop science-based solutions to challenges facing the forestry sector - climate change, deforestation, and ecosystem degradation. This collaboration stems from a shared vision to create positive impact on nature, and society, with the potential to accelerate our sustainability initiatives and contribute to global environmental efforts....Show more

Last month, colleagues and partners from across RGE business groups spent time at Singapore cheshire home for our first 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 volunteering event of 2026, held in the spirit of Chinese New Year. The programme brought together employees who spent their working hours with residents, celebrating tradition and sharing meaningful moments. Moments like these remind us that businesses exist within communities. We conduct our businesses under our founder’s 5Cs philosophy: to do good for the community, country, climate and customers, and only then will it be good for the company. It is a principle that guides not only how we operate our businesses, but also how we give back. Golden Hearts is one of four quarterly volunteer initiatives planned for 2026. Each gathering is a chance for our colleagues to step outside the workplace and contribute directly to the wellbeing of the communities around us. At Afro Fashion Day 2025, the foremost event celebrating African fashion and heritage in Brazil, Bracell set up two immersive dressing rooms with viscose handcrafted by women from Fábrica de Fardamentos, a Bracell-supported social enterprise. Partnering with stylist Fagner Bispo, Bracell also presented a men’s look in lightweight viscose – material derived from dissolving pulp produced by Bracell’s mill in Bahia. “Sponsoring Afro Fashion Day is a unique opportunity to connect our business with end consumers, showing how the pulp industry is present in people’s everyday lives,” said Rudine A., Managing Director of Bracell Bahia.
