Reyal Urbis is a royal force in Spain's urban real estate sector. The company develops residential real estate for sale in 40 cities across Spain and Portugal. Reyal Urbis specializes in the planning and development of middle-class urban subdivisions. With a total land bank of more than 2,300 acres, the company can potentially support 60,000 houses (it has more than 10,000 homes under development). While residential real estate accounts for 80% of the company's revenues, it also develops and leases shopping centers, office buildings, industrial parks, and nursing homes, and it owns nine hotels (under the name Rafaelhoteles). The company formed in 2007 when Construcciones Reyal merged with Inmobiliaria Urbis.
