Toei is a leading diversified entertainment company in Japan and one of the top producers of films and television shows. The studio's films have included "Poppoya" and "Battle Royal". A pioneer in the anime genre, Toei Animation helped launch the industry with films such as "Hakuja Den" and "Saiyuki". Toei is also active in children's TV production; its "Dinosaur Squadron Zyuranger" was adapted for US audiences by Saban Entertainment as "The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers". In addition to production, the company operates its own theater chain, has interests in hotels and real estate, and it owns a 15% stake in broadcaster TV Asahi.
