Pros

Easy commute, if your face fits you can probably get a good salary

Cons

Full of cliques, older staff get away with refusing to train new people, gender pay gaps are rife, pay offs are a regular thing now with extremely high salary managers who do very little being saved every time and little sign of this changing. Mistakes are made and then repeated again and again with no one being held accountable for their actions. So many staff and managers with sloped shoulders with a very “that’s not my job” and point the finger type of culture

Pros

Good exposure to a variety of engineering problems, friendly atmosphere, good training, knowledgeable mentors, travel opportunities, wide range of products and technologies.

Cons

Slow and fragmented processes, competing departments, work life balance, clique-y, no flexibility on work hours or holidays, old fashioned systems (excel and word based).
