Pros

It's not out in the FL heat.

Cons

This is the kind of place that gives salespeople a bad name. Say whatever you have to in order to get the sale. The sales pitch they give you even has a lie in it already.

Pros

I have nothing good to say about this company.

Cons

I worked there for a little over a month. In that month I was abused verbally and was told to verbally abuse the debtors I was trying to collect from. If we got a debtor on the phone, I was told to demand a payment of at least 75% of what they owed and accept nothing less. Otherwise, we sent the case to court for judgement. Once a judgement was placed on the account I would again try to contact the debtor and demand payment threatening to garnish wages and stimulus checks and other assets that we could legally go after. There were no payment plans or speaking nicely to someone. Treating the debtor with respect was a good way to get yelled at. The manager and the owner would sit next to each other all day long with a combined weight of just less than a fully grown elephant and they would talk about trading stocks and a side Ebay company the owner ran buying and selling baseball/football cards, coins, collectibles. That took precedence over training a new hire. The owner is an angry old man that yelled and belittled me one day for making light of a funny situation. My manager was over at a new hire's computer helping her with something and the owner yelled at him across the room that he needed help with something to do with stocks. No sooner than he got this out he changed his mind and said he could handle it. About 3 seconds later he called my manager over again. (Basically: "Come here. No, I got it. Actually, I do need you") Several of us chuckled and I made a comment by just providing commentary of what just occurred while laughing. It was just a small funny situation that happens all the time. This owner went nuts. He thought I was making fun of him. I wasn't I was making fun of the situation. He asked what my problem was. I told him I was just joking. He told me that what he was doing was no joke. It was no laughing matter. (At that time, I barely knew who he was or what he was doing) He then asked my manager (loud enough for me to hear him) "What's this cat's problem, dude!?" My manager had no answer. It was all I could do to not go off on him as he sat there at his overstacked, unorganized desk in his worn polo, gym shorts, tall white socks and gym shoes, belittling me. Now, I understand collections is difficult and you have to be strict with debtor to get payment out of them, but these guys never even gave people an opportunity to make a payment or come up with the money. It is either pay now or go to court. Pay now or we start garnishing your wages, taking stimulus money, ets.
