Pros

Free food and nice teammates

Cons

Only come to this company if you want to be burned out within the first few months and micromanaged by leadership. Everyone in the company has either quit, been fired or is still there, but planning their escape. All of the managers that cared about their teams were let go and now company morale is down. Work-life balance is terrible because nothing in the company works and everything eventually breaks. The COO doesn’t take burnout of his employees seriously and tells us not to use the word “burnout” because it’s a “serious medical condition”, completely undermining how we feel. You end up doing 3x the amount of work than what’s defined on the job description. PS and engineering teams are overworked because the company keeps advertising features that doesn’t exist and puts pressure on those teams to try and get them out in an unrealistic time, causing the quality of the product to be terrible. You’re also constantly worried about if you’ll be the next one let go due to leadership constantly putting new people on the chopping block. You’re under a constant microscope and you will hear frequent complaints over things that you have no control over. The executive team looks down on employees learning new skills because they think that you’ll ask for more money, so they’d rather keep you stagnant. Be prepared for HR to implant 3 fake reviews after this one. This company is a joke and we’re all laughing.

First, please be assured that we never pressure anyone to write any Glassdoor review, and all the positive ones are as honest as the negative ones. Deploying a complex product is never easy but we do not misrepresent our capabilities. We have the best customer retention numbers in the industry and our customers rave both about our product and the caliber of our customer-facing teams that support them. Please trust us that your hard work does not go unnoticed. We hear you, in that you feel there is often too much pressure and that your experience is different from others who wrote positive reviews here. Unfortunately, a startup can be a high pressure intense environment. And no matter how much we would like to, we cannot turn the clock back to the “good times” when capital was cheap and abundant and we were able to be more flexible with work arrangements and the productivity we expect out of our employees. That’s true not just for us but for the whole tech industry, at this point. Your wellbeing is important to us and if you are burned out, please talk to your manager or a member of our People team to either take a break or work together on solutions that help balance out your workload. If you feel this is not the right fit, we can help you transition to your next opportunity in good faith.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, free lunches, opportunity to make a high impact at a startup

Cons

Leadership on the team has become decreasingly interested in the well-being of their employees. We're expected to bend over backwards to clients' unrealistic requests, work on weekends to get things done, and sacrifice our mental health for clients' satisfaction. Our time is micro-managed and we're constantly being given additional job responsibilities with no increase in pay. Leadership closely tracks how many hours on average we're working per week and load us up with more work if its not over 40 hours (even if the work we did was mentally and emotionally taxing).

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review and share your experience. We encourage you to discuss with your manager or request a skip level to discuss with your organization’s leader. If you’re more comfortable remaining anonymous, you can also submit your questions/concerns to our internal anonymous channel. Like many tech companies, we are trying to balance growth and efficiency. This means that we all have to do more with less. We try our best to balance this while keeping our people at the center of all that we do. Being a people first company doesn't change from one day to the next and as you noted, we continue to invest in top notch benefits that focus on the whole person. If you are feeling burnt out, we strongly encourage you to talk with your manager directly so this can be addressed appropriately.

Pros

* Management supposedly addressed the gender pay gap and raised the salary of women who were under-earning. (“Supposedly” as I was no longer there - can’t personally confirm) * I met some amazing people here. We still keep in touch even though we all no longer work there. * Management is invested creating a strong company image * The company is well funded on paper. Customer holiday parties are well put together. * Teams have off-site bonding activities

Cons

This review is 1/5 star now because the management sneakily reported that the May review has "strong allegations language and/or opinions about an employer of individual" on Dec 20, 2018. Why report it 7 months after the review was first written during the holiday travel season? * The "standard growing pain" other reviews refer to is another way of saying ActionIQ is an unfriendly place for women to work. A few examples: 1) The company paid women 40% less compared to the male counterparts while performing the same, if not more important duties. 2) Some managers have made inappropriate and misogynistic remarks to multiple female employees about their appearances and ethnicities. 3) A couple of female employees were let go without notice. Those remaining do not have clear career paths forward. There is no diversity and inclusion nor required training for unconscious bias awareness. * Retention is poor on certain team (e.g. 0% in 2017 fiscal period). * Not sure if upward review is working as complaints and constructive feedback about certain managers were never addressed. * The company treated certain employees as an expense rather than an investment. Others interviewing should ask about career path options and concrete details of inter-team transitions.
