Pros

Good continued support from management with closing deals. Great people, everyone is willing to help each other out. It's like a close-knit community of friends where all employees seem genuinely close to one another.

Cons

Those aforementioned great people just got made redundant Low pay Low appreciation Micro management Daily email updates from management reporting on how many minutes you spent on the phone, and how many calls you made As much time spent doing pointless spreadsheets and reports on your performance than trying to do your work You are expected to stay beyond work hours, and it seems like a faux pas to leave on time. If you're underperforming in the month/quarter, it's genuinely awkward and intimidating asking sales management for holiday time off. A couple of times I was denied, and I had to ask more than once for the time off which I obviously was entitled to. You have to fight for any benefits you are owed. You are entitled for up to two days off called 'Active X Days' where you can claim a day off or two after helping out at an event, or doing something charitable. Claiming these days from management was a nightmare, and they would dodge trying to give you this company approved time off when you ask for it.

Pros

I came to Active through acquisition. Active were very welcoming and supportive of the acquired employees and have a very professional integration process.

Cons

Active had a deep lack of understanding of what they had actually bought. It became clear very quickly that they had no idea about how to market or sell the acquired technology. There seemed to be little appetite to seek advice from acquired employes. The sales thinking was outdated and out of touch with modern sales and marketing approaches.

Pros

Support team was tight knit. Good product Interesting clients

Cons

Severely underpaid. Severely under motivated. Disconnect with Dallas HQ management and culture. Office culture in London was very poor. Severe lack of opportunities. High amount of discontent within full support team in London. Product would not take advice from support. Senior Management in Dallas were incredibly disorganised and did not care for the support teams internationally. Worked at the company for nearly 3 years and never felt appreciated.
