Pros

Very small, get to see all end of the business

Cons

Very poor over all concerns for employees. Like a lot of businesses today this place has been bought and sold by the owners, fired all the higher payed higher skilled staff, even gone though lots of different management over the years. No one there has any history of the original technology that the business was originally founded on. The company has changed there directive several times trying to stay a float.

Thank you for taking the time to review Acutronic. It’s unfortunate that you don’t feel your experience with Acutronic was positive. We encourage you to reach out to the Head of Human Resources to share more about your experience. Acutronic has been under the same ownership since 2015 and has no intention of selling the business. We are fortunate to have experienced significant growth since Acutronic’s acquisition. With growth comes change, including a change in leadership in order to position the company to succeed in the changing marketplace. Thirty-four percent of our workforce has over ten years of experience at Acutronic, with 15% having more than fifteen years of experience. This is a testament to our core values: Do Right. Go Long. Serve Quick. Acutronic has worked hard to maintain a family feel where employees are valued and respected. The company has and will continue to develop its direction in response to market and customer demands. We are fortunate to have many repeat customers who value our expertise and believe we have a reason to be in business. We are financially strong. While some employers faced layoffs, pay cuts and pay freezes in response to the COVID pandemic, Acutronic has not laid off a single employee, cut pay, or frozen wages due to COVID. We are financially sound and continue to make strategic investments in the growth of our employees and our facilities.

Pros

They pay for employee and family healthcare premiums and costs. They initially provide competitive compensation. They have a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off). The work is challenging and never boring.

Cons

What I was taught by their actions is that employees are ledger items. There is little security in your position's longevity especially if they lose out on contracts they'd planned to win, They will only provide you the minimum of what's legally required of them if you're let go. I had two straight years of exemplary annual reviews, smashing expectations and successfully adding extended value in Support, Operations, Financial Planning, New-hire training, and completely overhauling what had been a very bad departmental reputation before my time. And I was given two DAYS notice of my termination with zero severance package (with the knowledge we were three weeks out from a vacation we'd already planned/paid for and a six year old and wife that they knew depended on my income and healthcare for their only security/wellbeing). So, I'd warn you to not expect them to adhere to their own core values. And don't expect a raise beyond what you agreed to in the new-hire negotiations. You might get something small, but nothing on par with your actual value. The work never stops thanks in part to a constant fire-fighting/reactionary work methodology as well as an overall lack of core procedural direction by leadership. It was extraordinarily disappointing to experience. But I am still thankful for the time I got to share with my team, coworkers across departments, and for the yet another of life's wonderful lessons. Don't trust them.
