The promotions come with an indefinite workload where you’re often doing the job of three people on your own. Speaking your mind honestly about how to improve the job put a target on your back for the site manager & other higher ups to ostracize you. The management is extremely unprofessional between how they mishandle their cleanroom technicians, the favoritism which leads to some techs being more overworked than others and the constant lies about pay raises, overtime pay & other bumps in paycheck. You’re either doomed to remaining at the base rate of pay by keeping your head down & only doing the bare minimum of what’s required or you move up & end up in the site managers sight lines to be treated like a lap dog that gets punished for the actions of others.

It would be a lovely job, if the leads were more experienced in life. The toxic workplace environment will make you want to leave eventually. Also a word of caution, after changing into the provided work uniform, be prepared to possibly go hours without a drink, food or bathroom due to the nature of the job. There are also short planned shutdown periods each year, where their may be a lack of work.
