Pros

Discount on products. Located in southern California. Lending program. Convenient parking lot. Cool IT team. But this is about it, there is not really pros to work for this company.

Cons

Where do I start? They will pay you like crap and using the excuse that you are salary they won't pay you overtime. They want you to work 12 hours a day forgetting what California department of labor laws are... They micromanage everything, they tell you to do one thing then not to do it then to actually do it but then come back again and tell you not to do it and then they will ask you why you did not do it... Everything is about money. They don't care about their employees, they don't care if you have family emergencies or anything. If results are not what they were supposed to be, they will fire random people to compensate for the loss... no two weeks notice, no nothing, on the spot, just like that. There is no way you can grow in this hell hole. Avoid at any price! You will have a better job being cashier at Target or Walmart!

Pros

The CEO has a background in product dev, and the company is incredibly innovative (Tech Air) despite NOT being a huge “style leader” in the category. Tech Air is phenomenal technology - their jackets (despite the heavy use of logos) are possibly the best in the market. Company runs efficiently in that there is no excess or waste of time/$. Sales staff is top notch - reps are dedicated, smart, savvy, and are trained in selling the technology they are supporting.

Cons

At the top. No one in the company is able to make a decision without an OK from the CEO. That may sound normal, but it’s taken to the extreme. Possibly the most interesting detail is that many employees have “roles” vs “jobs.” To point, staff have email address that are “media21” or “admin14” b/c they cycle through staff quickly, fire people (in my opinion) indiscriminately, so you come into a job w/ a pile of emails directed to the trail of people who had been there before you. It’s creepy. The positive reviews you see on Glassdoor were mandated by senior management. Many do NOT feel any type of job security. CEO feels staff are disposable, and he reminds people of it by how he treats people. That sounds harsh, but anyone who has been there will tell you this is true. If you are in his inner circle, life is good. If you are not, keep your CV on LinkedIn. There have been several examples where current managers have met their own replacements while still working at the company. There are no such things at meetings in this company. Once the CEO saw a meeting taking place (regarding a project that required the talent of 3 people to execute), and he broke the meeting up. Communication runs one way and one way only. Through the President. Dont worry about making decisions in your job, it will be done through email.
