      IT Department is nonsensical

      Pros

      -Strangely enough, Anchor Packaging is the only place I have worked where off-hours duties were essentially non-existent....although I now know why.

      Cons

      -no communication -no prioritization of tasks or projects -antiquated tech -extremely prohibitive access to systems (if any at all) -no contact information provided regarding 3rd party services: hosting, colo, applications, ISP, etc. -ITIL is a foreign tongue, and change management even more so -no network topology -email appliances frequently block intranet emails and internal notifications -no attempts made to rectify work culture or (I am the 4th tech expert to either leave or be fired in the last 2 years)

      Low starting pay, extremely labor intensive, VERY hot, lack of commutation, lack of care from upper management, abuse of power, lack of structure, dirty, very loud, dangerous, mandatory overtime, not much room for advancement, work holidays

      Great company, friendly family like environment could of been my dream job!

      Cons

      I lasted a year under the most stressful unrewarding IT position in my whole professional life striped of confidence and self-esteem we were managed like Boot Camp in front of co-workers.
