      Project manager was kind and did their best.

      Cons

      I cannot recommend Apprio to anyone who is thinking about working for this company, if your values include working in a supportive environment, growth opportunities, good healthcare, etc. Apprio did not represent nor offer these things. They do not have the welfare of their employees in mind. Senior management is involved in the day to day minutia of the business, which is a good sign that the culture in the head office is also poor.

      Three years contractor with Apprio

      Pros

      A quick way into government contractor. Compensation package is acceptable as far as contractors go, if you understand going in that it will not change significantly year to year, if at all.

      Cons

      Upper management under-resources the project/program managers, thereby making the relationship to contractors strained at best. In three years, I have had three PMs, none of whom felt supported or in-sync with senior management. No opportunities for upward mobility. Contracts are typically under-written and the client expects significantly more from contractors. Apprio does nothing to mediate this tension. Result is contractors assume substantially more workload, without Apprio making any effort to support contractors financially, if nothing else. Communication is inconsistent. Policy is never properly communicated to contractors.
