Pros

Ever walk into a place and feel a collective sense of dread from the dead-eyed workers, yelling behind closed doors, and a dusty crammed working space? Here at Argento you will bond with coworkers over shared trauma that is working here – friendships that will last a lifetime! You will talk about this circus for years. Sharpen your skill set and make ~cool~ products by redesigning and repackaging the same product over and over again into the dead of night. It’s like Groundhog Day but for your design portfolio! Fun! Like a real family, the management and bosses will never acknowledge their mistakes and instead blame/yell at you for things they never taught you in the first place. After 10-hour work days, being told you’re “lazy”, “ungrateful” and that they “wish (they) could dock your pay” feels just like home! Don’t worry, you will learn to disassociate from all the toxic, two-faced interactions due to the “fast-paced” environment of overtime and underpay. You will soon forget you have 5 days of vacation time as the deadlines, workload and random added responsibilities – I mean “learning experiences” – pile on. You begin to pray a stack of boxed samples falls over and takes you out of this pervasive hellscape. Jokes aside, the empty promises of advancement, better pay, etc. will feel like salvation when you finally experience working literary anywhere else. So if you’re heading out the door, ignore the begging, promises, and legal threats and just keep walking! P. S. They don’t honor 2 weeks notice and don’t pay out unused PTO, so use that information as you wish!

Cons

Cons? How could we ever be so ungrateful for consistent overtime, underpay, and especially the legal threats? Or having meager allotted vacation time denied? Or trying to meet with “HR” only to have your meeting unapologetically pushed back week after week? No, it’s all the 1-star reviews rated “helpful” that are wrong!
