A good place to work

Pros

Generally a friendly and supportive place to work. Ashfords has put more time, money and effort into rewarding and retaining staff in recent years. As a partnership, the personality and management of individual partners has a big impact on the work-life of other fee-earners and support staff. The experience of people in different teams may well be different, however I feel well managed in my current role.

Cons

Salaries at my level have historically lagged behind the rest of the market, however this was brought back into line last year.

Pros

*Most* people are friendly. The job's super easy. All day exercise. Rubbing shoulders with the super wealthy.

Cons

Rubbing shoulders with the super wealthy. Constantly moving from one task to another without a break. Expected to be completely competent after a few days with barest possible training. Nepotism runs rampant through the company. You'll either be rushed off your feet or doing nothing for hours. Department has a odd culture.
